Mayumi WATANABE（wassa） 

Born 1983 in Osaka, Japan. Since 2007, she has been creating and exhibiting drawings, paintings and objects with her own unique stance. She is minimalist, without meaning or narrative.and had many solo exhibitions, mainly in Osaka and Tokyo,Japan. In recent years, he has collaborated with French apparel brands such as Repetto and agnes b.

1983年大阪生まれ、在住。2007年頃より独自のスタンスで活動。意味や物語性を持たない、簡素で余白を意識したミニマルな構成、質感を重視する表現。大阪、東京を中心に個展多数。パリのアートフェアでは作品が完売するなど人気を博す。近年フランスのアパレルブランド、Repetto/レペット、agnes b/アニエスベーなどとのコラボレーションも手掛けている。

Born 1983 in Aichi, Japan. Since 2009, she has been working as an artist.Her work is based on detailed lines drawn in ink, and using a variety of materials such as acrylic, coffee, and silver leaf, she deconstructs motifs such as women, flowers, and butterflies, and reconstructs them with her own unique sensibility, expressing the space between reality and fiction.

1983年愛知生まれ。在住。2009年よりギャラリーなどでのアーティスト活動を始める。インクで細密に描き上げたラインを中心に、アクリル、コーヒー、銀箔など様々なマチエールを融合させる。さらに画面の中で女性や花、蝶などのモチーフを分解、独自の感性で再構築し、現実と虚構の狭間を表現している。主に名古屋、東京などのギャラリーや、国内外のアートフェアの出展など、幅広く精力的に活動中。
